Hi all, I have thick branches in my snail tank and over the weeks, they've become white and mouldy. Is this bad?

Hmmh.. Usually mould comes from direct spray of water to branches and to that part of branch which in substrate. Mould is not harmful, but good clean away so it won't spread. You can clean branches in hot water and dry them moment in oven or put them to freezer till mould has died about 24hours max or longer if you like. Mould is dead in freezer when you can't any longer see it. If you put branches to freezer it's wise to let them warm up so snails don't get cold when next time climbs on them.
