Have a look at this! While I was out walking at the Spa Manor, ooooh that was nice! lol Anyway, while I was looking for snails I found a few of these. These photos aren`t great but good enough for an ID. They were a little bigger than S.octona and I`ve never seen one before. I`d be very interested in knowing what they are and how common they are too if anyone can help ;D

In Finnish nature has these too, but they are protected so you can't pick them here.. Same looking species names.. Well I just wrote them here.. Cochlodina laminata, Cochlodina cruciata, Clausilia dubia, Bulgarica cana, Cochlodina orthostoma, Macrogastra ventricosa. Biggest of them is Cochlodina laminata shell lenght is about 1,5–2 cm if wikipedia is right.

Those are door snails, but thanks to Crossless, it´s possible to have a good overview.

Beautiful. Did you take a look inside the opening? I remember seeing a picture of a snail similar to that who's shell has teeth inside the opening. Why? I don't know - but it does! I wonder if it's the same one?

That says they`re only found near London though, they can`t be too rare now maybe?

That says they`re only found near London though, they can`t be too rare now maybe? I'm sure I remember seeing these snails several times when I was growing up in Cornwall, so I can't imagine they're only found in this area.
