Hmm.. I think you mean Achatina Zebra they live in South Africa and was it ideal temp about just +10degree? So that's why they are really rare as pets.

They don't look like zebra. Perhaps best to aks the seller of their history, a picture of the parents, where they came from and their care etc?

I have just heard back from her i asked where they originate, what substrate they are on, if she uses a heat mat, what she feeds them, she dosen't know where they originate, they hibernate all winter and they were from a show in doncaster thats all she can tell me.

I am pretty sure these are not zebra, whorl count etc seems to be useful in dentifying them, however these are also virtually indistinguishable from two other varieties of South African snails.
the statement "they eat fruit and veg and need cuttlefish bone as a source of calcium" is far from correct as most people find these snails incredibly hard to keep thats why there are just a few left in captivity - even South africans dont keep them ! try checking out south african snails forums.
I have kept these and they are difficult to keep, the areas of South Africa they are found in are incredibly hot during the day and very cold at night due to being near to the ocean. Their choice of food seems mostly to be rotting tree bark ( i had most success with wet dog biscuits - very rare they would eat anything else ) getting a few hours of red hot temps in a tank and then down to around 6 -8c is virtually impossible and so the snails suffer.Mine never touched cuttlefish but only limestone powder.
Hope this helps Regards Ade

Also, Zebras dont grow that big around 5-8cm if i recall correctly and they dont grow quickly. the markings are very distinct from an early age and the snails on ebay do not have the correct markings.

I have contacted ebay about the 2 of her listings the zebras and the tigers but they wont do any thing with 1 person reporting it she said the second pic is of the bigger tiger when she emailed me back about them. Well if that is a tiger i have hundreds of them. some one is going to get ripped off unless more people report them.

Has anyone looked at the albino jade, that look a bit like a retic to me. My jades don't have the same shell colouration. The auction for the 3 babies the pic of the 2 small ones isn't very clear but the pic of the larger one isn't a tiger.
