Hi there, I have recently expanded my amber snail pages a bit, the three most frequent species are now described, albeit concisely. I must admit though, that I am not sure, I could indentify an amber snail without doubt in the field... They are bloody hard to tell apart... I sent about ten small Succinea putris (or perhaps Oxyloma elegans) to Mica in Berlin, now all but one are dead and we don't know why Kind regards Robert Oh yes, the link: www.weichtiere.at/english/gastropoda/terrestrial/succineidae.html
