Hello and apolgies if this is in the wrong section! Last summer Choco sent me 2 beautiful margies, yesterday I mentioned to a friend that they are always underground and she said her's are always out. I go days without seeing them, one was missing for a week and when I dug him our he'd formed a crusty layer over his opening. They are both growing fine though. I'm now wondering if I should up the heat a bit? The tank reaches about 28 with the heating on. Is it normal for them to hide or should I insulate the tank more? Any advice most welcome

I keep my tanks between 24 and 28 in winter as it's a bit hard to keep the heat constant with the altering temp but my margies have been active all through winter, when the temps were well below freezing and the tank temp struggled to reach 20 they were still out and about.
;D

Now I know they like it humid, but how humid? Should water run from coir if I squeeze it? I take it there shouldn't be pools of water in the tank? x
