I found some eggs today around 60 or so and decided to keep 4 of them as the species is common and I had no where to house/put them. Pic of one of the parent snails: Achatina Fulica i.imgur.com/ZhM21Zp.jpgI have put the 4 eggs in a small container with air holes and damp compost from the adult tank. Is there anything else I should do? Thanks.

That's fine until they hatch. At that point, give them a small cuttlebone and little pieces of the same foods the adults get. When their shells have strengthened and they've grown a bit, say a couple weeks to a month, you can release them to be with the adults and watch them hitch hike rides on their shells. Though you'll also have to watch they don't drown in the water dish. Good luck!

How long does it usually take for them to hatch?

Anything from immediate to a couple weeks. Fulica can decide (to an extent) when to lay, which influences the hatching time. So just keep an eye on them.

All 4 hatched, they spend the majority of the time buried iv put a piece of cuttlebone and some food in there.
