The pics will largely speak for themselves. Click for big versions. She actually rasped on their love parts until they detached from each other, and remained sitting on the darker guy, not letting him move for a long time. She must have been in a really bad mood! The young rodatzi had been trying to woo her on and off all evening, and he only stopped for good at this point. Rarely have I seen a snail flee so fast from a love interest!

They are lovely pics hun but I am having trouble telling what they are. I can see the big snaily with head bent over but cannot make the others out. I am as blind as a bat, I really do need glasses.

Ah, sorry Jo! You did click on them to get the bigger versions right?
The biggest snail bending over is Halonen, on her shell is a yellow-shelled teenager trying to woo her, and on her right there are two young fulica mating; the darker youngster of the two, the one on the left, is lying on his side. The two mating snails have their eye stalks in. Does that help?

Yes thank you love for explaining that to me, I do see now. They are adorable. I really must get glasses though.

Thanks, though I have to wonder why she made them stop mating!
Glasses are a good investment, I remember the first time I got glasses that were made right (took much longer than it should have for many reasons) and I couldn't have imagined how much my everyday life quality changed.

Yeah! When I think I have the snaily social life figured out well enough, strange things like this happen that leave me scratching my head.

They are truly amazing little creatures, I am so very pleased that I have them, they make me happy. My main concern is keeping them happy, I talk to them often and wish they could reply. Yes glasses are a good investment Etana and I know when I have them will be saying "Why didn't I do this before" but they are rather expensive.

They are indeed, and the only regret I have is not having snails earlier in my life. They bring so much joy. I got new glasses last winter myself, I paid them in little bits over several months. Perhaps you could look into something like that?

Yes I wish that too Etana love, I also wish I were into bunnies and guinea pigs earlier. it is funny how these things come into your life and you cannot imagine a life without them. I need to look into glasses seriously but my credit rating is so bad, I wouldn't get a loan to pay in weekly amounts. It is a great idea though.
