Hello
I am a bit concerned as I seem to have found an eye stalk on the front of the vivarium. It definitely isn't a poop and I have checked everyone and they seem to have both their eye stalks. It is medium sized so it will be from one of my juveniles but I don't know who. I am very worried about this, even though I can't find out who it is.

Wow, that's weird. However if you already checked that everyone has two eyes, then it's not an eye stalk as even if one was bitten off, it would take some time to grow back. A picture would be helpful so we can figure it out.

I am afraid it has dried up love, I should have thought of taking a piccy. Everyone is out tonight bar a couple and the ones who are out have their eye stalks. I hope I am wrong and it isn't an eye but it was so much like one. Obviously I need to check on the couple who are still in their shells but there is no way I can get them to come out until they are realy. I will keep looking but everyone looks healthy and in one piece. Thank you Etana darling for yor advice and I will keep you updated.

I'd say that in a case like this, it's ok to wake a snail up so you get peace of mind. After all you don't usually do that, so it's not like you're causing continuous bad sleep and stress. Pet and pat the shell gently until he shows up, like how they pat each other with their eyes to invite each other to come out - just a light touch will do. Misting the snail often does the trick as well. He won't be impressed, but you can put a piece of food in front of his face to make up for it.
Yes, let us know what happens. Is it possible it was a slime-poop with something less slimey at the end to resemble the eye?
