Hi Everyone,
I managed to talk with Jo on the phone late yesterday and she sends everyone her regards. Her hubby has made it through his illness and is out of hospital, though still recovering but unfortunately Jo herself had a fall and broke her hip so has been in hospital herself, hence no one had heard from her.
She is now back at home, but wont be on line much for a while, she just wanted everyone to know she's ok, just recovering and that her hubby, the snails and her other animals are well. She will be on line again but it may be a while before she can write properly.
Anyhow I will stay in touch with Jo by phone and keep you all posted

Ohh.. Thanks very much, Zorst. That's an awful lot of bad luck in a short time.
Let her know I hope she feels better soon and the hip heals well. I'm also glad the worst is over for Paul.

Yes there ok Glitter, Jo just needs plenty of rest and time to heal as does her hubby. I said I'd call her again next week and catch up with her again so I'll keep you all posted when I do. Until Jo can get back on line herself.

I'm glad to hear that her husband made it, because the silence and other descriptions gave me the impression that he died... Quite a rough time for both of them, but it's nice to hear that one of our loyal members has fought strong through these awful events.

Thank you ladies for more wonderful messages and I feel stronger today. Last night I stayed up and watched a film with Paul and sat in a cosy chair but more importantly, I was able to get out of it again with no trouble. That made me very happy indeed. The nurse came today to take the dressing off the wound and left it off so all I am doing now is waiting for the physio to phone. We are working on Paul's health as he has been told: No Macdonalds, no fish and chips, no potatoes, no choc etc. I thought or goodness sake, the lad has to live a little. I think in moderation and it will be OK. Me I am on a total ban because I have a lot of weight to lose.
Critters all seem fine, have to instruct Paul tonight on making up hermies treated water but that won't be hard.
Anyway, will chat again very soon.
Lots of love Jo xxx

Physio came on Friday and assessed me and said that there was a report on breathing problems during the night, from the hospital. She said that this could affect stamina and performance throughout the day and it will be easier to assess properly once I have been for my breathing assessment on the 10th August. She has given me some lie down exercises to do (I wish lol!) but says I am not ready for stand up ones yet and I must still rely on both hands and use my trolley. She is popping back next week to see how I am.

Able to lie on my right side for the first time today so I am really pleased, that is my prefered side for starting my sleep on and then I turn over. Upset tummy seems to have subsided for a while so I hope it is an end to that too. Getting there slowly I think.
Hugs Jo xx
