I just saw my two adult Margies, Iisakki and Grey Nose, do quite a sequence.
First I gave them bathwater, and they bathed and exchanged looks. Then they RAN to the corner of the tank. Grey Nose climbed up the wall and Iisakki attached to his shell and gave him a kiss, they disappeared up between the plastic plants, maybe one minute passed - until THUD! They fell off, strangely entangled. Took me a while to recognise they had their love organs completely out, they were so long! That was seriously the quickest progression of a mating attempt I've ever seen! No dancing or other rituals at all, just looks, running to hide together, and a kiss or two!
Then Grey Nose rasped on his love organ for several minutes, and I thought I saw the horrendous Gut Extrusion Syndrome with my own eyes when a membrane bubble formed at his mouth, but no, it was a huge sperm packet. Now hear this, he rasped it until it fell off. Huh.
He's still rasping himself and putting his love organ back in right. Ha ha, not always fun being so well endowed. Iisakki is probably doing something similar, he's harder to see.
There are two new Margie hatchlings too, I just love the white little guys with their black eye spots. May have to start removing the eggs at some point though.

Oh bless them Etana love, I would love to have seen that. I wonder if there is a Snaily Karma Sutra where they get to try different positions lol! I would love to see the hatchlings, my snailies haven't got that far yet as I have been freezing all the eggs but I would love to rear a couple of babies.

Hatchling sitting on my hand for the first time. Margie hatchlings are so strange as they're born so big, you can so easily see their huge eyes and how they learn to walk and what is food and which big snails mean safety. This one likes to sit next to the big Tiger snail Gaius, I need to get a photo before the baby grows much bigger. Maybe there is a snaily Kama Sutra lol, I'm sure though that if there is, some snails read it badly as they try all kinds of positions that don't work haha.

Ha ha Etana love, yes they do get themselves into some uncomfortable looking positions don't they? Not that I know of course but I bet you have to be pretty fit and supple to get into the ones the Karma Sutra displays lol!! That little one is s very cute. I have three and tend to place them on the food bowl in case they get pushed out. They are always hitching rides on the grown ups which is so sweet. I must admit, I would like just a couple of hatchlings.
