I have several milk snails as class pets. They are quite endearing and pleasant to watch, but hard to come by (since they are an invasive species). I'm thinking of going to the petstore and getting one or two Mystery Snails, pomacea bridgesii, as these are readily available, and I saw that at least some owners take them out of the aquarium to interact. Are their personalities generally at least as entertaining as the milk snails, or was that one I saw unique? Thanks for any advice!

I would suppose there is variety in their characters like there is in land snails, though I have no personal experience! Hopefully someone here does and can reply to you.

I have a dozen or so nerite snails in an aquarium. They're are fun to watch and are always active. They only breed in brackish water so there is not any fear of overpopulation.
They can be removed from the water but they will slam their operculum shut so I rarely interact with them. Being tidal snails they wouldn't immediately suffer if you wanted to prompt them.
I've interacted with freshwater Mediterranean snails (no idea on the species!) who weren't shy out of water. Their bodies are alien like in comparison to their land cousins.
