Hey everyone! I have a ridiculous fruit fly infestation and I have no idea what to try I thought they'd died off in either but apparently not! Does anyone have any advice on how to at least reduce the numbers? X

Ugh, that's so annoying! Some things you can do: You can place cider/vinegar/wine traps outside the tank, change the food & clean up poops more often so they won't sustain the larva, and temporarily keep the tank's bigger-than-fly-sized ventilation holes closed so the flies can't freely go in and out (pantyhose over them works great, that way the air flow doesn't entirely stop but the flies will). Hope this helps!

That's for the advice! I tried vinigar trapsvut it wasn't super effective and smelled rather overwhelmingly of vinigar I have no idea why the flies have made such a big come back, but hopefully the traps and tights will help!
