Hi all, My partner and I have come to the decision it may be best to sell our tiger snails. While they're fantastic little sweethearts we never really see them, and feel they could be given all the attention they need by someone else. We keep them fed and in warm climates, and they are loved, we just feel we can't give them enough attention at this point in our lives. Does anyone know the best way to go about selling them as a trio, they are quite fond of each other and we don't want them to get lonely? X

Awww. Tigers are very nocturnal though, there was a long time last year that I didn't see my Gaius and missed out on him secretly growing huge! I see them awake the least of all my giant snails, I need to stay up super late myself if I want to interact with Gaius or my albinos. But how much more attention do they need, if they have enough good food, a warm tank where they can hide (with tigers you're doing it right if they can completely hide from you), and an owner who thinks they're fantastic little sweethearts? It's up to you of course, but just saying it sounds like they are getting all they need already and will be lucky if they get all that in the next home, where they also will be sleeping completely hidden most of the time. I guess you can simply say that you will prefer selling them all together and that's it. Someone who loves snails will understand that you'd rather not have them separated, as it's easy to see that they do bond to each other.

I hardly ever see my hermit crabs love but when I do it is lovely. They are very shy and if one is eating and I switch the light on and go towards the tank, he is off like a shot. I keep hoping they are going to get used to me but it is a bit disappointing when you rarely see a pet.

My tigers are the same. It makes it all the more enjoyable if you do catch a glimpse!
Good luck with what you and your partner decide.

So they may not be as lonely as I think? I'm not a fan of selling them, but we thought that they were lonely as we never saw them, I guess we're quite used to fulica who always want out and cuddles we assumed tigers were the same? Thanks for all the lovely words everyone

Nah they're not lonely if they have each other! Peek gently at where they're sleeping, aren't they all shell against shell? If you ever have a sleepless night, go ahead and check the tiger tank at 2am. Even my Gaius, who I think is about as social with humans as tigers get (extremely trusting, asks for baths and gives soft kisses, sometimes refuses to let go of me for hours), has not changed his sleeping routines for me at all lol. Either we never see each other awake, or I stay up late to meet him. Or I briefly see him if he's having trouble getting to bed in the morning, but that's very rare.

You are very welcome Picklepies love. They all have different little characters and it is true, the Fulicas do love attention as do the Albinos. That is a lovely post Etana hunni, it sounds as if you are helping a kiddie get to sleep which of course you are lol!

Lol yes if I see him all that way, I give him some water and food. He'll take a few good mouthfuls and then crawl into a corner to sleep.

Aw he does sound gorgeous Etena we've moved the snailies into the 'living room' and the seem a lot happier now, maybe they just needed a change of scene I've noticed one does love being held, maybe I also needed to be more attentivexx

I am glad they are really happy now and there is one who likes to be held. They feel so nice on your hand don't they? I tell mine they are loved and I am sure they understand.

Hi all, changing the tigers location seemed to have done wonders, two of them now have little bulges! They're always about from 7 now, and it's quite nice to see their little faces again
