Hi Picklepies love, it sounds as if he is doing it on the quiet and want to surprise you love him. I hope there are eggies. I didn't know that about snailies and their eggs Etana love and as you say, these little animals are far from simple as most people think. A photo would be great.

I shall try for a photo after work, he seems to keep his breathing hole a lot more closed than the others, but that could be because he's pregnant lol. I thought it might be something like that Etana, it seemed far too deliberate! They are exceptionally complex creatures aren't they, far from simple! Xx

Lol, one of my snails didn't want me to do egg checks inside her, so she would put her face in front of her breathing hole if I approached her with a flash light. I've also seen a snail treat his digestive problems by soaking his shell in the warm bath and then finally going to the bathroom next to it (I'll spare the details but that snail definitely had a tummy ache). Clever!

They are exceptionally clever aren't they! Mine are regular poppers so hopefully they don't have any tummy troubles! Weirdly Raspberry and Pear are both still awake buy the heat mats, definitely up to something lol xx

Ahh the excitement! Maybe they're both pregnant! It just now came to me - with snails you sort of don't expect much in the beginning, but then you slowly realize there's so much to them. With many other animals you expect a lot and end up calling them stupid (I've only ever had snails, but if I had a penny for every time I've heard someone call their dog stupid..).

Oh bless him Etana, I have looked for signs of mine being unwell but luckily everyone seems remarkably healthy. How do you know if they are in pain please, is there something specific that they do? One of mine has just popped a few eggs Picklepies hunni, only about 6 so I am wondering if it is a practice.
That is true Etana love, I have had a lot of animals and you do end up being a bit disappointed in them sometimes as they seem to take so long to cotton on to things. With snailies, they are full of wonder and surprises.

I think they'd very true, with many animals i think people expect them to be clever and tame etc to be with and with little euro, where as snailies are seen as pests, despite the fact that they'd have to be quite smart to survive everything we throw at them xx

One of mine has just popped a few eggs Picklepies hunni, only about 6 so I am wondering if it is a practice. Well... As with any animal, they should eat, poop, sleep and move around. If one or more of those dramatically changes (especially if they stop) and it's not hibernation, something could be bugging them. With acute pain they will squirm. What size are those eggs? Fingertip size, or like a very large pinhead? If the former, they're a proper clutch of your Albino Margie eggs and possibly fertile. If the latter, Sidney's practising being a mommy

Thanks for that Etana and I cannot bear to think of them squirming. I often check mine to make sure everyone is living as they should and touchwood, so far they are all happy and healthy. Thanks for the eggy updates love.
