Poor slug, sounds like he is in a lot of pain. Is he able to eat and drink at all?
I don't know what his chances are, but how many % of his whole length would you say is damaged?

10% of his tail seems to be very demaged and another 30% has demage only on the top of his body.. from when iv taken him he is recovering a bit, hes overall body is bigger now and his mouth returned to normal but i think that those parts that severly demaged might not recover..

That's good if his mouth looks better, and it sounds to me that he's more hydrated. Maybe offer him food that's already soft and mushy in case he has trouble rasping.
Snails and slugs are surprisingly good at wound recovery, so fingers crossed he doesn't get a systemic infection.

do you think maybe i should try to remove the 10%? im assuming there arent any vital organs there and this part seems dead.. i think it could cause a big infection in short time

I am sorry love, I am no expert and I wouldn't like to say whether he would be alright without that small part or not. Someone on here will be able to help you with that. Poor little man, at least he is in loving and caring hands. Thanks for the updates.

Hey sorry about the slow reply. I suppose you can cut off parts that are completely dead, but I don't know much more about it. Zorst might, maybe? I wonder what is the white thing you're talking about, you're probably more familiar with it than I am since you've seen it before. Did those snails survive? Can you possibly take a picture or post one about a similar situation?

I agree Etana love, a photo is really needed so we can see exactly what we are dealing with. I still have so much to learn with regard to snailies and their relatives. How is the little chap helptoall hunni?

Poor Slug, I would personally leave the dry bits as the body will likely shed them over time anyway, and that way you dont hurt him any more or accidentally harm him if he moves. My main thing would be to wash him down well and keep him moist and fed so he can heal up over time. The cucumber is ok but there is not much nutritional value in it so I would offer a few options together with it like a bit of sweet pepper and some cabbage. ( The slugs here love my cabbages and brussle sprout plants.) This would give him more nutritional value food wise and keephim interested in eatting different things. Good luck and I hope he recovers and heals well.
