You mean explode? I held the baby later, and he really tried to eat me, haha! His sharp little radula actually hurt my skin! Looks-wise he takes after my sweet, late Seppo, but that temper is something else. I do feed him meat but I guess I'll have to up his servings! It's so hard to capture the face in a photo, lol! I got some new photos that I'll post next time I'm at my computer. No grumpiness in those pics, though.

Oh dear, I didn't think they could actually hurt Etana love but this one seems to have a bit of an attitude. Perhaps with handling he will calm down as he grows up, naughty little chap LOL!! It is hard to get good photos of their little faces but I do love the grumpy one. Also when you move them they bubble and I am sure it is a protest LOL!!

Oh wow, what an absolutely wonderful photo love, he is so cute and gorgeous, thank you so much for sharing. Would you mind if I copied it and put it into my Special Pictures" file? I called paul into have a look and he thinks it is lovely and he also said it reminds him of me with my mouth full, especially at sunday lunch LOL! Don't worry, I am used to it. Hugs Jo xx

Sorry about the muck, I'm p*ss poor and buy my calcium in powder form, and it gets EVERYwhere, including all over the snails. However. Here is a sequence that I had the honor to witness AND the luck to get decent pics of the other day! Click for big versions. Naughty Maija, what is she doing flipping the bath tub over! Mauno appears, and apparently agreeing with me, he wrestles it back down, but it ends up right on top of Maija. I stuff my camera under the tub to get Maija's face. She clearly disapproves, but since the sun is rising, she falls asleep anyway, as does Mauno. I need to make another post for the final pic!

In the evening, something goes awfully wrong with how Mauno has planned to get out of the tub. He ends up tipping it over back in the wrong direction, and appears to be making grumpy faces and stretching one eye to see Maija. If you look closely, you can see that his face is, for some unknown reason, upside down! Also, apparently Maija continues to disapprove of her bath tub design idea being interrupted. She doesn't even care to look back at Mauno.

Thanks for sharing these lovely pics Etana sweetie but I would love to now why snails have a problem with water bowls. If there isn't one hogging it all the time there is one trying to turn it over. I notice that little upside down face, they do get themselves into some awkward positions don't they lol?

Lol, I have no idea why the water tubs need to be tipped over. It seems like a some kind of instinct for snails to tip stuff over, some individuals start doing that as tiny hatchlings already! I wonder if in the wild they find something yummy under stuff, such as very rotten fruit or something?!

Little snail, big snail. Baby margie giving me a very alluring wink, despite his piece of corn not being very impressive! (This was after he rasped me pretty hard, once again, so maybe he's not winking after all but just got something in his eye. But I can dream!) Gaius is about to have a word with me about too sparse bath times under the kitchen tap, it seems.

Ha ha, I often think it is because something tasty has slipped under there and whilst they have a plateful of easily accessible food, that one piece has to be eaten because it is awkward to get to LOL!! They are just gorgeous Etana hunni, I just love their different expressions and trying to interpret them. Oh yes, you have to be told if something isn't quite right Hugs Jo xx
