That really annoys me Jade love, I say if they cannot say something pleasant which is obviously loved very much by someone, then keep quiet. Ha ha Etana hunny , I love to show my pets off too and I can talk about them all day.

Exactly Jo, people can be so rude sometimes.

They have no consideration love and do not think that they are sneering at something which someone loves very much. I would never do that and would always be interested in something someone else loved. Hugs Jo xx

I would never give a negative comment for something that someone loved either. Snails get so much bad press, it makes me sad that people never see them for the wonderful, interesting creatures that they are.

I totally agree Jade and to say negative comments about something someone clearly loves and has as a pet is just plain disrespectful, if people can't say something at least semi positive they should say nothing at all.

Con: You see a "start destroying snails today before they breed" sign at the edge of the community garden and feel a bit bad.
Pro: Lately with all my illness, it's been good to have little teachers to show me what it truly means to take things slowly and gently.

Darn, I'd be out there with the rug rats saving as many as I could to re-release elsewhere in a safe wild place.
Good one taking a lesson of being slow from your pet snails is a great one.

They truly do Jo.
Con: trying to hold back your laughter when you describe a giant snail to a conservative relative and she says, "what horror when that monster is LOOSE!"
Yes...the horror of a snail sitting still looking around, or advancing an inch per minute, with some probability that he's heading for the nearest tank anyway if possible. Super scary.

I've been giggling all afternoon about the nightmare about the snail that just sits there. So wild and dangerous! I hope they film a scary movie about it. Pro: When cleaning up 4 days worth of poop after coming home from a trip, your biggest snail puts her face on your finger all by herself, nibbles a couple times, and sticks so tightly with her front that you can lift her up and go pamper her in the sink, where she lazily dances under the water stream like the fat snail she is. Who says they don't know what I am. Clearly I'm the thing that takes you to the water stream. (pro: snails don't mind 4 days worth of poop. That required one big clean up though.)

That is so adorable Etana love thank you for sharing it with us. I hope mine are loving snailies and nibble my fingers. As you say, who says they don't know us? If they had thought about making a film about it they would have done so, when I see some of the releases I worry about peoples' imagination and desperation. There is a current one called "Zombeavers" about Beavers brought back from the dead and attacking, I just lost the will to live LOL!!

Stick to Snails Jo Its much more real and far more fun.
Etana I know 1st hand 4 days of poop is a big job especially when the snails all want to play with you lol.

I got a new smartphone in the spring, and it has the option of putting a portrait of yourself in it.
Well. You know...
Con: You wonder if people think your snail hobby has gone too far when they notice the "you" photo you have is of a snail making a funny face. But still, Pro: It's amusing writing texts when it looks like a funny faced snail is saying that stuff.
Ok, snails do make me feel like such a little girl sometimes. Oh well, lol.
