I'm going out to collect dandelions and other wild plants I know snails eat. If that fails I have a sweet potato waiting in the fridge to be sliced.

Side of fish flakes to go with the remains of last nights offering here.
I'm loving the dandelion bloom in my back garden at the moment!

Marrow and the gang all have some fresh salad and chard leaves from the poly tunnel and some plain boiled fish as I made a chowder for us tonight. Mystic had some raw Salmon so he's one happy Jackdaw and I cooked some of the Salmon and Hake up specially for the snailys.

Had a bit of a clean out today, squeezing half the coir out and replacing the other half. Fresh leafy salad, the usual sweet potato, apple and pair. Eggie day tomorrow with cucumber as a weekly treat. When it is a clean out day because I cannot stand it takes me a long time but at least the little loves are a lot drier now. Mind you, they probably prefer it soggy lol!

The larger snails made quite a mess last night. Food everywhere! Think I need the snail alternative of a bib.

Corn on the cob (2) tonight, which will last them a few days. They went through aubergine and squash fast! The larger ones, at least, will be digesting and pooping for the next couple of days so I don't think I'll have to replenish. They've really pigged out recently.

Ha ha Borini love. maybe we ought to put pelican bibs on them lol! I haven't tried mine with aubergine, I will ask Paul to get them one when he next goes shopping.

I'm offering mine the nettles I found yesterday, hoping they're now wilted enough as African snails can't have them freshly picked. The leftovers of the other greens are still there too. My wild caught snails got nettles yesterday already.

They are still going through the sweetcorn here. I'm not sure what I'll offer them tomorrow. They've not had lettuce in about a month, which is pretty long for my snails, so may reintroduce it.
Totally forgot about my sweet potato in the fridge, which has went off, doh!

I keep meaning to get some fish flakes for mine. They have pretty much the usual tonight only with raspberries and strawberries. I don't know if they will like them but I will know in the morning. I must ask Paul to get me some corn on the cob for them.

They'll love corn on the cob, Jo. It spoils slow so can stay in the tank for a few days, and is cheap at 75p-£1!
